“Each of us needs the memory of the other, because it is not a virtue of compassion or charity, but a new clarity in the process of Relation. And if we want to share the beauty of the world, if we want to be in solidarity with its sufferings, we must learn to remember it together.”

CURATION OF THE
MIGRATORY BIRDS
EXHIBITION
“As this quote suggests it, the OM project is based on the notion of enriching our differences by emphasising the positive aspects of migration.
Faced with the rise of populism in many economically powerful countries and faced with the reign of the strongest, I wanted to appeal to this collective memory, the trauma, the false truths that had here and there the same dramatically recurring repercussions.
“Migratory birds” is indeed based on the notion of enriching our differences by emphasizing the positive aspects of migration. Faced with the rise of populism in many economically powerful countries and faced with the reign of the strongest, I wanted to appeal to this collective memory, the trauma, the false truths that had here and there the same dramatically recurring repercussions.”
THE ARTISTS
Through a carte blanche on the theme of “Migrations”
Emilie Bitauld invites other artists to present a piece, and, if possible,
to present a place where to show the exhibition in the part of the world they are from, or presently work.
The list of these curated international artists and places of the OM exhibition will, this way, grow until the exhibition’s tour will be over.
